During the third quarter of 2024, the top social apps in El Salvador showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and X performed.

TikTok from TikTok Pte. Ltd. saw fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $15K in early July and reaching $15K again in September. Its weekly downloads started strong at around 58K but experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter at about 46.6K. Meanwhile, active users maintained a steady presence, increasing slightly from 1.17M to over 1.21M by the end of September.

Facebook, developed by Meta Platforms, Inc., experienced a modest increase in revenue, closing the quarter with $944. Downloads showed a downward trend from 32.9K to 27.3K, while active users consistently hovered around 3.4M, with a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter.

For Instagram, revenue remained relatively stable, with a peak of $1.17K in late September. Downloads saw a dip mid-quarter but rebounded to 25.9K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated slightly, ultimately ending at around 2.17M.

Threads displayed a consistent increase in downloads, starting at 10.1K and growing to 12.6K by the quarter's end. Active users also showed a positive trend, rising steadily from 96K to over 121K.

Finally, X experienced a revenue decline, closing September at $519. Downloads mirrored this trend, decreasing from 5K to 4.7K. Active users also saw a reduction, dropping from 446K to 411K over the quarter.
